Tara Lzicar M.Ed., LCPC is an Idaho based therapist, licensed in Idaho and Oregon. I have much experience and interest in helping teens and adults manage anxiety, heal from family violence or sexual abuse, navigate life-disrupting events, and connect again in their relationships. I think the best part of my work involves helping each client I work with discover their own path in their goals or journey of healing.

I have provided court-involved services since 2014 and began conducting evaluations specific to family court services in September 2017. I have training and experience in family law matters and current research. I have provided community trainings on topics of domestic violence and high-conflict family law concerns since 2018.

I am a registered supervisor with the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses and am able to provide quality supervision for Licensed Professional Counselors. I also provide consultation specific to the impact, intervention, and treatment of domestic violence, and court involved services.

Please see my CV for more information regarding my training and experience.

I work with people that have compromised immune systems and will be masked during in-person sessions. I ask that if you’re not feeling well, or have known exposure to something contagious, that you please either wear a mask or that we use telehealth to meet.

I believe that the most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship. You can expect a supportive, non-judgmental, authentic presence from me. My goal is to support your ability to do the inner and outer work to heal and become the best version of your whole self. I believe that it is truly a privilege to be able to walk with someone through their fears, challenges, and pain and help guide them towards their own goals of healing and restoration. For this reason, I see therapy as an opportunity to help people reduce suffering, increase their connection with themselves and others, and to experience more joy, purpose, self-led living, and peace.
